St. John’s Parish Church
St. John’s Parish Church has a long history as far back as the 17th century and was the first church in the parish of St. John; this church was rebuilt several times in the past.
The present church was built in 1836 and has a Gothic design; it was built to replace the previous church that was destroyed by the Great Hurricane of 1831.
The St. John’s Parish Church is located on a hill that provides a magnificent view of the St John’s coast line. Visitors can also see a wide horizon view of the Atlantic Ocean from this location.
