Holetown
Holetown is located in the parish of St. James. Holetown is central to the history of Barbados; this is the location of the first settlement in Barbados (originally called James Town). The Holetown festival is celebrated annually to commemorate the landing of the first settlers.
Today, Holetown is a shopping centre area with lots of gift shops, restaurants; this location is one of the main duty free shopping areas on the island. There is also a Chattel Village where you can buy jewellery, Barbadian fashion, accessories and other handcraft items. Holetown is also the location of scenic beaches that offer a very relaxing mood; this is the perfect location to enjoy enchanting sunsets.
